    Default Amp swap

Ok,I did a bad thing. I bought some Phoenix Gold TI amps. I got tired of the Autotek I was running. I went to switch out the 4 channel amps, straight swap, turned on the tunes and was greeted by sound that was not pretty. The sound was fading in and out and I think one side was not working. I put another amp in and the same thing. I am wondering if the RCA are bad or is it the deck. I have a Pioneer deck.

    Hey There,

When you say sound, do you mean music fading in and out. Or noise fading in and out?
It didn't do this before the swap?

Everything was fine before the swap. The music fades in and out. One side did not work, but unplugging the RCA and switching them had the other side play.

Ya sounds like some bad RCA's
If you have an extra set, I would start there and run some from the deck to the amp and see if that fixes it.

If not, I'm not really sure. That's an odd one that it fades like that.

Thanks Chris, I will be getting a set this week. I want to get a good set, for sound quality. I think I am going with Stinger.

As long as the RCA's are 100% oxygen free copper and twisted ( for noise cance
llation) that's about as good as you can get. Other than that, your just paying for the name
