    HI jdagillis,
    Welcome to the forums

Could you tell us a little more about your system.
What type of amp and speakers are you running?

An amp will go into protection mode for a couple reasons, outputs are shorted, speakers are hooked up in a way that it wasn't designed to run the type of load it's seeing, speakers could be blown or have some type of issue.

Give us a little more details, and we'll try and help.

    This might help.

    Amp in Protection - Troubleshooting

It would be good to provide more info such as make and model, input signal, what wires have been replaced / what has been done already.

Are these the subs you have?
    https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...s-P126DVC.html

It looks like your amp can go down to 4ohm bridged.

Just to verify, do you have them wired up like this?

Your amp, can go down to a 4ohm load. So if wired like above, you should be OK.

Does it go into protection as soon as you turn it on?
Does it go into protection with the speakers not hooked up? If it does, then you rule out the speakers and you have an issue with the amp.

It will come on and you can hear the sub's but as long as its turned down like below volume 10 it will stay on if any higher that when it shuts off
