Get the most efficient drivers you can: 18 for midbass, 12 or 15 for midrange and a horn for highs.

I have a JBL 2x15 + horn speaker and that thing is retarded loud. I think for that speaker, they actually did a 2.5 way. In any case, I think a 3-way would be better to get cleaner sound at higher levels.

ill get some pics up tomorrow! sorry guys forgot the camera at home so now im relying on my buddy to email them to me! got to go back tomorrow to actually finish the wiring. took us 10 hours just to build both cabinet's but the joints are all rabbited which takes a good amount of time. plus we go on the lets figure it out as we go method which can be quite problematic lol! anyways pics up tomorrow!

well after rewiring everything we got all the bugs worked out. and on 100 watts per side they freaking scream!!! holy jezuz lol. all in all i got about 300 into the set including the equipment. not including the amp's. last night we hit up the bowling alley after a few hours of tedious and agonizing trouble shooting (STUPID CABEL'S) we needed some beverages. the speakers there sound like poop compared to these. and they were mackies! so im pretty damn pleased! maybe some of you guys will get a chance to hear them. they sound pretty damn good.

Nope they are real DJ speakers. the speakers we used work a bit better in sealed than in ported and with the angle there in a small bandpass.
