Aiwa CD Deck plays CD's but wont do anything else

Hello all, I have a question about an Aiwa Deck. not sure the model number. It is sitting in my friend's Honda Civic. The Deck will play a CD but will not eject the cd, raise or lower volume or switch to the FM/AM Tuner. One of my other friends suggested that a fuse may have been blown, but my understanding of fuses is that if a fuse was blown there should not be any power at all to the deck. It will keep playing the same CD over and over again. You can't eject it or even adjust the volume. My thinking is that the Deck it's self is faulty. Any suggestions for a cheap repair? i think the unit all together is shot. hope its a good CD thats stuck!

I had an older Alpine that eventually developed the same problem. Look and see if you can find a "reset" or "initialize" button. Mine was a wee lil tyke located behind the faceplate. When my CD's started "getting stuck" I could usually get them out by holding down this lil button with the end of a pencil, etc. Eventually the thing gave up the ghost completely so that Aiwa is probably on its way out if not already dead. My present unit(cde7831) has "intlz" printed next to the power button so I'm assuming holding down this button would have the same effect. If you can't find a resest you could try holding that Aiwa's power button as well.
