What kind of set up are you going for? SQ, SQL, SPL?
How much do you want to spend?
I would stay away from alphasonik, as they are not ranked very high in the car audio industry IMO.
(edit: as long as u havent gotten them yet)
Maybe if you give us a clue on what you want and how much you want to spend we can steer you in the direction of a better set up :bigwink:
Oh yea...and welcome to the boards

Im going for SPL and good bass i didn't get the alphas but im open to suggestions. But my range in price for a system is like 1000 to 1500. The people that i talk to always praise alphasoniks but i havent talked to many others.
Oh and thanks for the welcome!

Well, i'm glad you haven't gone with the Alphasoniks, because we can help you get something MUCH better for the budget you're in. I've got a few questions for you which will help us all to guide you on the right path:1. What vehicle will this be going in and would you like to stick with the stock alternator to run your sub(s) or are you willing to upgrade if needed? 2. Do you plan on competing or is this strictly for daily driving? 3.What types of music do you listen to on a regular basis?

Alphasonik is owned by Audiobahn. 'Nuff said :). As much as I love the way their amps' (Alphasonik's) look, I'd never buy one.
What exactly do you have currently? When you refer to "system" do you mean amps and subs or an entire system?
If just amps and subs, I'd go with one DD 9515e and power it with a Rockford Fosgate Power T10001bd. You could subsitute an Mmats Juggernaut for the 9515e if you wanted.
For a dual 12" setup, I'd go with Elevation Audio Pro's (same amp). Or instead, a single Elevation Audio Execution X15 (also with same amp). You could also get a pair of Memphis M3Mojo 15's.

Im getting a 1982 Bronco it has lots of room! Im not sure about the alternator and im willing to upgrade if needed. I want to show it off of course so maybe competing. And i listen to Rap, Rock, and Dance. So i might need an EQ? Yes and sadly Im going to need a entire system! And thanks for the info.
Also have any of yall heard of sonicelectronix.com because they have really good prices and was seeing if its a shady site.

And what other equipment would be needed?

I have purchased from sonicelectronics before. I called them up and spoke with a guy over the phone. Really easy to work with. Not a big company by any means from what I could tell. Shipping was affordable and I got my amp cheaper than any one else offered it at the time, fwiw.

Im now thinking of going with Adire Shivas because they sound sweet and very well priced! But what kind of power setup would be needed for them and would i need to upgrade my other speakers?

Shiva's are sweet.
I would feed them anywhere between 500 and 600 watts total to both woofers. And keep in mind this would be at 2 ohms if the subs are wired in parallel.
Look into kicker, jl, rockford fosgate...to name a few.

So the Shivas RMS at like 250? And should i get other component speakers also? What would go good with the Shivas?
And how could the Shivas out porform the alphas? Does the RMS not matter? And in that case what does? And will i have to upgrade my alternator?

For components, check out CDT, Adire, Resonant Engineering...just to name a few. You will probably want an amp for those too (50x4 should be fine).
You shouldnt have to upgrade your alternator if you keep it all below about 800 watts total (i kno this is controversial). As long as you dont play it as loud as possible all day long you should be ok if you keep it under 800 total.
The Shiva's will outperform the Alpha's because they are a QUALITY sub. Not just some mass produced p.o.s. from japan. RMS is just a thermal rating. It is how much heat, in watts, the voice coil can handle. The RMS on the alpha's is probably a little high just to reel in unsuspecting customers.
Happy shopping :thumbsup

If you decide to go for an s/q setup, a set of IDq10's would good. Keep in mind Justin owns a shop that sells like everything needed, and he has a set of Rainbow Vanadium subs and an ARC amp that he wants $300 shipped I THINK...dont quote me on that though.

So if i go with the 2 Shivas will the amp need more than 1 channel? Or just a singal channel amp of 600 watts?

one mono class-D 600 watt @<hidden> 2 ohm amplifier.
example: JBL bp600.1 and Kicker KX600.1
wire two 4 ohm subs in parallel and you have a 2 ohm load on the mono amp.

The Shiva is a dual 8 ohm woofer.
So in order to achieve a final 2 ohm load, voice coils in parallel as well as subs in parallel.
(sorry kiki, you made it sound like the shiva was a single 4 ohm v.c. sub)

With that in mind, you will want a 2 channel amp for a single shiva. That way you can get the most power for your dollar (4 ohms bridged). For two shivas, you will want a monoblock amp as mentioned by Kiki (2 ohm load).
