amp wiring help

I recently installed a 2 channel, 500 watt amp into a jeep cheroke. The amp turns on when the head unit is on tuner, but when i try to play a cd the amp turns off... any suggestions?

could be a setting on the HU. if its not that, then i'd check to see if the remote lead has any voltage with a meter. if its not on, its the HU, replace it.

easy fix.
you connected the REM wire from the amp to the PWR ANT wire on the head unit.
use the REM wire on the head unit instead. PWR ANT only gets 12 volts with the tuner.
common mistake. one wire is blue, the other is blue with a white trace usually.
