I have ordered one of these subs last week i think it will be here maybe tomorrow or the next day. i got a hifonics 1605 to run it to see what it can do. ill be putting it in a sealed box about 1 cubic foot. i am not really a fan of sealed and im not going to try one for this sub yet and thats a whole differnt topic. these subs are suppose to be able to handle 3000 watts rms ill see what 1600 will do for it. ill give some pics of it when it comes but i think its going to be an awsome sub. list price is about 650 with a 3yr warranty a little steep but i guess it could surprise the hell out of me. if all of you guys dont know already i am a dealer for bravox but ill give you guys a full un biased opion and review. im going to compare it to a eclipse titainum 15". oh ya the bravox 12" edx is actually almost 13" itll take a custom cut out for it. if i had a 13x6v2 or 13w7 id compare it to that but this is all i got thats pretty close to it.

Hmm... EDX in a sealed box...
I'd say that's probably not the best setup.
If you look at the specs for that sub, you'll see it's got one of the strongest, highest BL (lowest Qes) motors I've ever seen.
It's also got a pretty high resonant frequency.
If you work out the EBP for that guy, it basically screams "Port me or die, bitch!" :tongue017
I don't have the specs right here in front of me now, but I know it's way up there. ;)
This isn't a SQ sub, or even an SQL sub...
...this is their unabashed, undeniable SPL competition sub.
It's strengths aren't going to be finesse, detail... not excursion... but rather raw motor strength across a more limited excursion range - just what you'd see with a ported application - particularly a ported application with a billion watts with one particular test tone and tuning frequency. :D
Just curious - what are your goals for this sub?
In other words, what criteria will you be testing it against?

actully i was just trying it in a sealed for the hell of it. im not one with making ported boxes but if someone wants to help me design one and get the right tone ill build it. i was just trying it out because its my new toy. they are suppose to be coming out with a more "streetable" EDX but i have to wait for that. i tried it in a sealed box and it didnt sound all that good but it wasnt like it sounded really bad either. in a ported box with only 600 watts it got pretty loud. ill try and get someone to design a box for me and ill build it and try it out. this is a very heavy sub too its smaller than the titainum but it packs about 15 pounds more the TI
