Hey peeps i was wondering if i could so pov from some of you. I am looking for a new setup and was kinda thinking of one set but i am not sure. My 15" died the other day so i am looking to get some new woofers, i already have an amp and dont really want to get a new one right now, kinda want to work around that. I have an Audiobahn A8000T. I was looking into so RE 12"s. I am more the loudness then the SQ. So if any of you have any suggestions i would be more then happy to hear them. I might need a box for the new setup and i am looking to spend around $500. Thanks!

I have a set of RE12's and i like them. They are capable of sounding good AND getting loud. There are other subs that will get loud, but S/Q is not as good. For instance, a set of JLw610's will get pretty loud and still keep decent s/q. Another set of quality subs(or so i herd) are the Elevation Audio Pro 12's. The kicker CompVR's will get loud and still sound good. It all depends on your install. What is the power range for your amp. If you dont have wiring www.knukonceptz.com has good prices on there amp kits and are top of the line quality. I dont know a whole lot about them, but i have herd that Accedent Audio's Atlas series subs get decently loud and still sound good. With this wide range of sub ideas, plus the help of others will help out alot. Justin builds custom boxes and so does Sinister Audio, i think. With that help maybe that will get you on the road with some ideas.

the SX line are the loudest of the RE subwoofer lines until you get to the MT line.

Thanks for the ideas. I have thought about the RE 12''s and another guy has said something about those Atlas subs. My rating for my amp is 800rms. Its a single channel amp. It is 2ohm stable and kinda want to work around that like i said. I would most likely need a new box if i were to get new subs cuz i want the box to be tuned to the subs. But if anyone has some ideas i would be more then happy to hear them. Thanks again!

you have a fifteen now?
get the SX15 to replace it. if the box is ported, cut new ports to retune the box to about 28Hz for that sub. you'll have fine results. 800 watts should work for that sub, at least as a start. you can change the amp later if desired.
The Ascendant Audio subs are a very good option, too.
nice nick. Reservoir Dogs fan?

Yea i had a 15". It died a couple of weeks ago so i had to throw the tens back in. But i have a 15" box already and i am not sure what it was tuned too. But my 15" sounded good in it. I had a MMATS P2.0. I will prolly get a new amp sometime but i dont really want to buy one when i get my new setup. I am not sure if i want two 12"s or another 15". I thought about getting two 15"s. Cause i could send in my old MMATS and get that fixed and then get another one. But i want to see what you guys have to say. Thanks! and yes i am a fan of the DOGS!

What vehicle are you in, and do you have any specs or pics of this box?

I drive a '93 Bronco so i have enough room in the back for pretty much anything. I dont have any pictures or specs of the box with me right now. The box is up at school but i could prolly post a pic later if it is still needed. When i bought the speaker the guy didnt know what it was tuned to and i was in a hurry to get a box so ya. I would say that the box is tuned around 35 or so but i am not sure. I would like to get a new box anyway. FOr you need anymore info i would love to hear. Thanks!

have you thought of Memphis any? My friend has 2 memphis 12"s (might be the mojo ones, but they're probably the M-class subs because of the box size..), they got pretty loud for a tiny truck box! (the system wasn't too clear though, might be his whackass install though, so fear not!). My local memphis dealer has the memphis m-class 12" subs for $120 a piece, they're 400w peak and 200rms.

mojo's make for good SPL subs... but you will never have enough power to make them worth it in a daily driver setup... m3 works much better in most vehicles.

Aight heres another thought that bends and i had thought up and it would be spending more money than i really wanted to but it would be well worth it in the long run. We have thought about getting the 2 12'' SE RE's and getting two snail shell boxes to put them in. That would put way over my spending money but i would be nice. Or one single 15'' and get a snail shell box. But those are just some thoughts we had and wanted to see what you guys would think.
