I recently purchased a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus from a friend. He upgraded the factory stereo which consisted of a pair of tweeters in the dash two door and two rear speakers. The original deck was replaced with a Panasonic MP3/WMA CD Player Model CQ-DP383U. He purchased the wiring harness so no cutting and splicing had to be done. Door and rear speakers were replaced with some type of Pioneer speakers. The tweeters are still there. The problem is that the door speakers only work when the radio is on. When a CD is playing MP3 or a store bought I lose all sound from the doors. Is it possible to have all speakers working in CD mode?

Does that car happen to have a factory amplifier? What it sounds like is when connecting the wiring harness, the remote lead to the factory amp would have been miswired and the remote is hooked to the power antenna lead instead of a constant remote wire. Then the rear speakers and tweeters would be run off the head unit in that scenario.
