Alpine CDA 9851 is the deck.
The CD: 168 track mp3 roughly 120-600 kbs.
Tlhe problem: While playing the cd, aprx tracks 1-60 play fine, with a few having "the problem". When i get into the higher numbers the playback starts to get choppy, and sounds as though it is skipping, (but it isn't skipping i know this for a fact). I also know that the Deck is A. Clean and B. Undamaged. The cd is also clean.
Burning Software: Nero (current version, i believe 6.1.0 or something) Too lazy to look it up sorry :).
Any ideas as to the problem? Just a bad burn maybe?
Thanks,
Dave

what speed did you burn it at? i noticed that same problem on some of my mp3 cd tracks. maybe try burning it at a lower speed? mp3's arent the greatest format so it may just be the song?

Well i often use .wma format, and i like that a lot better (they are smaller) and have a nice cleaner sound to them.

make sure you arent running any other programs when your burning a cd, make sure the burn speed =< disc possible speed.

I'd just try remaking the CD. If that doesn't work, I'd try another program. Rinse, Repeat :)

Hey im really good with Computers, sometimes when u are burning cd's you can get Buffer errors on your cd, running the disc slower will not reduce this unless you are actually burning a dvd... When burning an MP3 Disc just make sure that it is a close disc operation if Nero allows that (Which i believe it does), just try to make sure that you are burning the disc with minimal programs running, so dont use AIM when running it or play any game that uses alot of system resources. Also some DVD/ CD-RW Drives run with a lead cable that is a digital audio cable that goes from the burner to the motherboard, sometimes this ensures a better buffer rate and fewer disc errors. No need to wait a life time to burn with those Maxell gold discs at 4 x. Just keep goin burning with the same discs u are useing but just incase im wrong here there are a couple brands that are made very poorly... of u could tell me which brand it is i can tell ya if its ok or not.
