Wondering if anybody could give me some info. I just put in 2 new rear speakers in the back of my Tacoma truck and they sound flat. Is this normal or should they sound like the ones in the door? Everything in the truck is stock except for the 2 new speakers in the back seat area.

What kind of speakers are they? I'm assuming you're pushing them off the head unit, unless you state otherwise. Rears aren't going to sound exactly the same as your fronts, the tweeters simply won't have a direct axis with your ears and high frequencies dissipate quickly, especially near fabric and carpet.

They are Directed Audio 2 way 6 1/2 inch. speakers. With a stock radio. They sound flat, no high sound just bass. The bass sounds really good. Is this normal for rear speakers with a stock radio???

Stock speakers are made to produce maximum output from the low power that a stock HU gives. Upgrade the Hu and i guarentee you will notice a difference. Stick with stock speakers if you are using a stock HU.

The Ohm load could be different on the new driver. You may have cut you power. Could be issues with the factory amp? Could be improper setting on the radio itself...
