we've had a few discussions about the cost of using the right thickness of plexi or lexan for a box.

The piece in the amp rack with the design cut out was about $60,its 3/4 thick, the one over the amp rack with the bend in it was $40 its 1/4". I bought a plexi bending machine to do that,i dont even want to admit how much i payed for that,wanted to be able to say i did everything myself so i payed .The piece on the sub box was about $60 also, its 3/4" thick also. thanks for checking it out i really appreciate it

if you can find a shop that stocks it or uses it a lot you can generally get a pretty good price on plexi because whatever cutoff they have has already been paid for by the person who required most of the sheet.

I'm giving some thought to using some plexi to make floating amp racks in my car one of these days.. just too lazy to start working on it heh
only thing I think I'd hve done differently.. ok two things, with that SUV..
I'd have taken those rear 3 ways and integrated them into the C pillars in back with fiberglass instead of using enclosures for them, and I'd have gone ported instead of bandpass for the subs. not a big 4th order fan myself.

Awesome install! Extreme cudos on the amp rack. After seeing yours (and others here) I gotta rip out everything and start over. You guys are giving me some great ideas (my wife is gonna kill me!)
