My name is Bill. Just joined the forum. I work for BellSouth (soon to be AT&T) in Greensboro, NC. I've been into car audio since before I got my first car in 91. My first system was in an 83 S-10 reg cab pickup. It was an Alpine pull-out cass deck (remember those?) with Boston Acoustics 4x6 plates in the dash, Boston Acoustics 5.25 coaxes in the doors and 2 12" Cerwin Vegas behind the seat. I was about the only one who could drive the truck because the seat had to be all the way forward:) Powering the speakers was a Soundstream D200II for the subs and some weak ass Coustic Power Logic for the fronts. This thing was so loud that it rattled the windows in my high school in about 4 different buildings. It was by far the loudest there, which made me feel good since there were other vehicles there with multi 15" and what not.
Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and give some of you guys a trip down memory lane.

BTW, does anyone know any GOOD installers in Greensboro or Winston-Salem, NC? The quality of everything I have looked at looks like the quality I could do myself. Thanks

Hey, thanks guys. I guess I must admit that the Coustic amp never gave me a moments trouble, but the thermal protection circuitry in the Soundstream would shut domn on a very hot day after a few hours listening.
That Dreamworks Motorsports looks pretty impressive. They are probable about an hour away. Maybe less. I'll go check them out one day when I'm off.

I have two old coustic amps in the garage JeremyC gave me, but I think my ass puts out more watts than they do. They are little 2 channel amps, kinda cute :scorp:
