XXX Wall in Cavalier.

heres is an update on my friends XXX wall in his Cavalier.. only one Orion 2500D powering them both at .5ohms for now, he is getting another 2500D soon.. system did a 150.7 on the TL at 49hz.. here are some pics and vid:

i always love seeing a fellow cavalier with jl xr comps and re subs. excellent install too. sadly, im thinking of dropping off the re bandwagon soon though...

yeah, im wallin off my Saturn soon enough.. not sure what im goin with though.. probably around 4000rms for the subs.. maybe four 12"s or four 15"s.. and why you ask? just because i can.. im a SQL guy, but ive always wanted to try a Really loud ass daily driver.. so.. ill update.

that baffle should be thicker but thats the only thing i see. other than that looks good.

edit noticied a few other things. sharp corners should be rounded ;) needs more bracing for sure.

You should do a "budget wall"... Do like 4 lower powered 15's or 18's off like a 2,000 wrms budget amp, like a hifonics or something... :happy055:

the port inside is rounded, but now the outside that you see... the inside is braced with 2x4"s...

also on my part.. i was thinkin maybe some Type R's... or 187's... i dunno... i dont like to talk about stuff like that alot when i dont have the money, lol..

I feel ya.... I heard some great things about IA, seems to have great products and even better customer service. I've actually looked into them myself... To many good products out there.:happy055:

Lookin good, I got a local guy running a pair of 18" XXXs I sold him in a wall in a cavi. He's got a 2500D on em at the moment too, I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't same guy (2 different car colors).

I didnt know the orions were stable down to .5!!!!
Does it but out any extra power at .5 over 1 ohm? If so, how much?

yup they sure are. there are a few amps stable that low.

Yeah, I knew some other amps few stable down that low, just didnt know if this one was or not... Do you gain any power by wiring it down that low, or is it regulated or whatever you want to call it?

yea it is and yes it produces more power i dont have any hard numbers but about another 800 or so rms. it can even be run at .25 for burps. for instance my amp is stable at 2 ohm bridged but i can burp it down to .7 ohm.

it gets down very nicely.. as stated above.. he is getting another Orion 2500D, so each XXX will be powered by one.. not sure what ohm load he will run them at though.. and a high output alt is in the works..
