while being in the market for a new subwoofer, i had many many choices... from JL, Resonant Engineering, Kicker, ED, ID and many many others, while all these brands were good and ive heard so much about all their products, Adire Audio caught my attention because of their price, while doing alot of research before my buy, i talked to a few people with Adire products.. while i was only wanting a single subwoofer, i have always leaned towards a 15" if i was going to go for a single subwoofer, because i want the extra boom, well with that said i started looking at the Adire Audio Tempest. for the price i couldnt think of a better subwoofer brand new!(only $166.28 from Adire) and so i started to do some more research on this subwoofer and talking to others.. the subwoofer wasnt anything special and it looked like a very plain sub(and it is) but while talking to some friends they told me that this subwoofer isnt just your normal 15"... while its common for 15"s to have little SQ, i was told this one had some great SQ for a 15" and got pretty loud with less than its rated RMS(650 thermal), well with that said i was sold. i placed my order and waited.. while waiting i had a friend design me a box(thanks CrzyStng!) and help me with all my questions, and this totally wonderful board here and William From Nola(thanks guys) well when the sub arrived i hurried up and opened the box and looked at the beautiful piece... the subwoofer is built very well it seems and impressive for its class(compared to a 15" JL w3, along them lines). well it was time for the box to be built, the box was 4.3cf tuned to 28 hz.. well i had some skepticism(sp?) about the amount of power i was going to be sending it, i have a Rockford Fosgate 3001. which is only giving it 150rms at 4 ohms(the sub is dual 8ohm). well i was worried about how it would sound with so little power. well i was assured by friends that the sub would perform very well. and boy were they right! this sub gets considerabely loud and loves it! i have not been metered yet but some guys at some respectable shops told me it was probably around the mid 130's. and i can believe that! it has amazing SQ for a 15" and drops them lows like no other, for the money i would definately recommend this subwoofer to anyone.. i cant really describe to you how amazing this subwoofer is... a few friends have told me that when i go by their houses it shakes stuff inside(if that means anything to you). if you want pics you can go to....
