View Full Version : Security code
I just purchased a Kenwood KVC 419 Head Unit. When I went to turn the system on it asked me for a security code. The manual has directions but they do not seem to be working for me. Does anyone have any clue on what I shouls do.

If it was brand new, the security code would not be asked for. If it was used, ask the seller for the code. Otherwise, you stole it.

Did you buy it used at a shop or from a person? if you bought it from a shop, email me a copy of the reciept and I will tell you how to bypass it.

i agree but in all fairness to justin i believe his intentions were good. Im sure theres a lot of people who get on forums out of nowhere to try and find the code of the theft products.
that should not happen. if you bought it from a shop, you should act upset and maybe not only will they replace it but they will give you a 20$ giftcard or something. worked for me with RE.

Follow instructions exactly as read.
If the insturctions do not seem to work for you call their tech support hotline.
If you bought it used get the code from previous owner.
If it is new it should not require a code unless one has been programmed...

People always come on here and their first and only post is asking for a security code. 99% of the time, they stole it, or they bought it stolen from someone. I'm not here to help out thieves.
I purchased it on ebay from someone in Indiana. The manual, remote and dash attachment came with it. I have read and followed the instructions in the manual and I can't seem to get it going. You can say its stolen but I assure you it isn't. I just need a little help thats all

You will need to contact the seller for the code.
There is no other way around this.
