Hey, my name is Glen and I'm from Georgia.

Since I've been 16 (now 22..23..somewhere round there) I've had numerous 10" subs and 1 pair of 12" subs.
Blown a few saved a few ..yadda yadda yah...

Now I'm poor and broke and can't just throw money away like I used too so umm ya....

I was thinking the same exact thing I didn't even know McIntosh was a brand and then I read a few post and saw he wanted one so I was like aight I'll check ebay...found one for 1,500 and didn't know what it did just knew I wanted it.

The McIntosh Mx406 retails for $2000, the MX4000 (Ryan's model) sold for about $2500, and the MX5000 (Flagship model) sold for around $3000. Ryan got one heck of a deal on a MX4000 for under a grand. He had under a grand, then spent it, and so now...he is poor.

Welcome to the forum Glen! We have alot of fun here learning more and more about this awesome hobby of ours......basketweaving!

Yea, I am reading a website about subs and I don't even know what everything means and I figured I'd understand a few things...

to go even further.. theres a few diagrams that show you how to wire your basic dual 2 and 4ohm coils, and single voice coils.. but someone needs to make a diagram for the quad coil and .5ohm coils or whatever and all that junk.

Like basic ones 4ohm subs going to 8 or 2 ohms and 2 ohm subs going to 4ohm and 1ohm operations I got down pat...

Now I'm overloaded with information...At least I got some resin and what not to fiberglass me a box (forgot about that in the garage)
