As of last month (guy's car caught fire and burned to ground), I now have the cleanest/best system in my high school. Not a single person says anything bad, unless they haven't heard my 8's, then I blow them away, and they shut up. :D

Anyway... People are saying "I want you to install my system" and all of that crap. Well... No one's really came to me with some ideas until my buddy Cody said he wanted one like mine. We started throwing ideas around, and he decided that he wants something to take to DB Drag comps around here, and just crap around. I suggested a set of RE12's, and he liked that idea, but I'm not sure they're out yet...???

So, we've got that, and he says he might get SX12's if he can get some more money. He's giving me trouble on the amp though... He says that he wants something nice looking... Like audiobahn. So bad, I refuse to capitalize their name. I suggested a memphis amp. I've always loved their little "Chrome Bricks" as I like to call them. Kind of pricey though. I suggested a newer Orion amp, as they are cheap, nice looking, and have a great background history, but the newer stuff... I'm not sure.

So... Amps anyone?

Also... Just to kill 2 birds with one stone... What would be a good "contracting" price? I have a handfull of people that want me to track down system parts and install them for them, but I'm not sure what kind of price to charge per job/hour. Ideas?

Thanks a bunch.

Crap... I forgot to put why I put the title GMC Slammer.

Cody's vehicle is a 2002 GMC ... whatever it is. The TrailBlazer type thing.

If he wants a hard hitting system that he can take to comps and also look good, suggest a pair of Treo TSX 12's. They don't need a jigawatt or power to hit good, the 12's only need 400. They also have a 54mm xmax which would be pretty loud properly powered. As far as prices go, I'm not quite sure. No dealers around me so I've never got to audition them. If he REALLY wants a system that will bump, get a pair of the CSX 18's. 71mm of xmax will rattle the crap outta that thing.

RESX 12" subs are $285 a piece, with shipping.

They require about 1000wrms. an amp with that power, still clean, will cost $600+. Look and see if RE has any amps out yet....i talked to one of their salesmen a month ago, and said they were waiting on a shippment before they could put them up for sale....and i havent looked at their site since.

look around. the subs are DVC 2ohms i believe. but you can request different configurations and they usually do it without any hassle.

thats what I want to get, an SX, but i am struggling to keep up right now. so hopefully next semester my funds will allow me to get what i have been planning for months now.

BTW, are you a new member to CAC....or just new name? if you're new, spread word about our new site...we need some more traffic now.

That's what I thought... Got it directly from RE, no problem at all.
It's just, back when I bought my RE8's, and I would ask someone on other forums how much they paid for theirs, they would be like "alot" or some crap like that. It's weird. Anyway... Go buy an RE, and burn the Pyramid factory to the ground. lol

No kidding!

I am the RE rep here now and I posted all the new RE retail prices in the FAQ section and it's changed a ton.

Although we never met, still glad to have old people back and I hope to get to know you as well as everyone else here.

As for your buddy and good amps for the price with a lil flash, check out the new Interfire line up.
