I was looking at a couple of amps for an upgrade... Basically anthing is an upgrade at this point. But i again am strapped for cash being a college student and having parents who do not understand my passion for Car Audio. I have looked around for some amps and i thought that buying a Memphis amp might be a good idea. A friend of mine had a Memphis 1000 watt amp wired in a trimode to 3 12" Infinity Kappa Perfects and it sounded amazing. I dont have subs that are that expensive but what i have are good enough for my truck. I have 2 10" pioneer premier dvc subs that are rated at 800 watts max and an Audiobahn 10" rated at 1200 max. I want to run all three of these to this amp: MEMPHIS PR1KD 1000 WATT MONO AMPLIFIER CAR AMP I looked at it on ebay and it looks like it can do the job but am worried that if i wire the Audiobahn and the Pioneers together that my sq and spl will suffer so instead might just wire the pioneers up instead of all three. I would like to hear from anyone on this subjuct... P.S if u cant find what amp i am talking about its on this page on Ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5744687381&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

ok well Memphis makes good products so you are good to go there. but on your sub situation you arent looking at MAX man, you look at RMS.. thats all that matters on your amps and subs/speakers/components. is the RMS(continous power handling). also ditch that Audiobahn, its worthless. if you want to run all three then make sure your box is in seperate chambers, since you are mixing subs. id run just the Pioneers, and run them at 4 ohms(assuming you have the lower Pioneers, and not the TSL5000's or whatever they are). hope i helped! there will be more help comin your way so dont just listen to me :words

Memphis should be good. They seem to be a reputable company with good quality products.
You can NOT wire all three subs together to run to the amp. The only way you can use all 3 subs is:
- The odd sub is in a seperate enclosure
- The odd sub is on its own channel or run the amp in Tri-Mode (not reccomended)
I will agree you would be best without the chrome paperweight (AKA Audiobahn). But the above conditions must be present.
when I was looking to buy my amp, memphis was one of the brands I came across. The reviews on them seemed to be good with a couple bad reviews here or there. I wouldnt be worried buying from them authorized but im always a little sketchy about Ebay stuff. good luck.
you might think about just putting the two pioneers in a sealed box or maybe just putting the audiobahn in a larger ported box too...so you dont have the mixed subs.

Hey, thanks guys, Right now i am running all the subs in their own enclosures (all seperate boxes) The Pioneers are Premiers but they are the ones that are not the SPL5000's. rms they are 400 watts. Do you think it would be better if they were wired in the same box but instead of seperate ones? The problem is space in my truck... Its a reg cab with only 13 inches of depth available and as it is now the subs fire directly into my seats. Any suggestions on Boxes?

It doesnt really matter if they are in the same box or not. As long as the 2 boxes you use are the same interior volume to get the same sound out of the 2 subs. As for facing them, try making a box (or modifying yours) to make the subs fire down, into the floor of the truck. Just add an extra 4 inches on either side to get the sub elevated a bit.
