This review will be updated as I progress.
I got the sub in this week from Marshall, quick shipper!
Anyhow I got it out of the box and had a look. The sub looks realy nice for $77. It appears to be built nice and solid. I do not see excess glue all over the place like I did with my Elemental Designs sub. One thing I noted is the size of the tinsel lead. It seems rather large and stiff for this type of sub....
More to come.
THis sub will be tested in a 1.5 cubed tuned to 28 Hz and its reccomended 1 cubed sealed enclosure. The sealed will probably be the used enclsure. THis will be going in a Chrysler Cirrus of a friends.

Yea Marshall's awesome..you'll get nothin but great customer service from him..I'm sure you'll enjoy the sub. I'm interested to see how it sounds sealed vs. ported.

Well sub #1 is complete.
The sub is in a 1.075 Cubic foot sealed enclosure. This box/sub combo will be used in a van with 200 WRMS going to it. Im sure it will be more than adequate.

The box is sealed very well except for the terminal cup. Im having a hard time getting it to seal properly. The buyer specified I must have one, I usually dont use them for this reason!
I dont happen to have exact measurements on hand, but the raised section is 4" off the floor (when put up properly). I believe the square on the inside is 13x13X 12 but will check into it for thoose asking.

Yes it is particle board, 5/8's at that.
Pffft its only a 12" RE series. 12 mm single way xmax... 1.075 SEALED
Its fine :D

Thats just too thin and too cheap for any subwoofer box... No reason to skimp a box just because you don't think the woofer is capable, the RE should be loud enough to require .75" MDF... i mean hell, might as well have went with a prefab cheapy :P

This wasnt for me.
The other RE 12" I had went into my friends car.
TO be honest the box we used was a feebie (To big!) and he doesnt have the amp tuned correctly. I tried to tell him/help him but hes not interested in changing the setup.
The first sub in that downward firing box was nice and loud.
A set of these powered properly should be able to get decent numbers.

I always wondered what my two would do with the 300wrms i had goin to them. My friend has a single 12 with 175wrms and hes doing a 138 with it...I wish i knew what mine did...but now there both gone and I replaced them with a JL10w6AE and using that 300wrms amp...huge mistake...

I'm new to car audio, but am loving how my RE12s sound. Got 2 of em hooked up to Kicker KX 350.2 Amp. Plenty loud when I want em to be.
