Ive heard of it, just never heard it or seen it. If you didnt get any real input on it from the big guys like Glasswolf, Bwcad1, Jonathan, or Joey C then its prolly either garbage or not worth your time
Very expensive.
I was thinking kind of the same Jay. If those guys don't have anything to say then it probably is not that good. I have yet to find anyone that has actually heard them. My boss got caught in the hype on their website. He asked my opinion, and well I had nothing....

Yeah I just checked out their page, and they run into the same problem as Bose.
A speaker can only really play 3 octaves well. Those 3 octaves are dependant on size.
Since your stuck with a 2 or 3 inch speaker they probably sound great from 1000, to 3000 herts, but their going to lack clarity the higher they get, and won't have enough cone area to play once they start getting lower.
Same problam as most Bose setups. Sound pretty good from 1000 to 3000, (the area our ears are the most sencitive to) but really lacking once you get outside that area.
That is interesting that you related Orb to Bose. Most of the reviews I have been able to find on Orb compares them directly to Bose. I have already told my boss its a no go. They are to exensive, and without having heard them prior to buying, it seems pretty silly to put that much money out there. They have a Super 8 subwoofer that models ok in WINISD. Nothing special.. Thanks for the input Jeremy!

You know, just based on the fact that I've only heard of them via marketing, I was going to say something like Jeremy said. I don't have any experience with them, though, so passing judgment would be off-base.

They're good for what they are. They still aren't going to perform up to the standards of large speaker systems, but if you're looking for something like a "mini-monitor" or computer satellites, they're better than Bose.
You'd still be better working with the wideband drivers from Aura, Hi-vi, maybe some of the Tangband minis
He hasn't even considered the tangbands. He wants a ht set up that has atleast 2 zones. He is also looking for something with HDMI inputs. He has been considering this one: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-MhOC4m9ebpA/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=10420&I=033AV2307C&search=receiver+hdmi+denon
There is another one made by onkyo I believe that he is looking at. He is planning on spending some money on this setup. He will not consider anything without HDMI inputs unless it has HDMI up conversion. I haven't put much though into his situation to tell you the truth. He only wants to talk about it while I am flooded with data at work. :banghead

Orb Audio looks very similar to Gallo Audio. Gallo was the first to use the circular little sats like the Orb stuff. Anthony Gallo is the name of the company, it is located at anthony gallo (www.roundsound.com)
I like the Orb lineup, but I tend to agree with everyone else.
