Im building my own home audio system Madisound is building all my crossovers. I decided to go 1 inch dome tweeter and to 5.25s in each tower... I dont know what would be ideal for a center channel.. And also are 5.25 sufficient for left and right front speakers???

Just for voice, as in just the primary vocals? I prefer 5" midranges/midbasses for that if they're good. They aren't as bad about beaming in upper midrange frequencies like 7" drivers do and they're large and weighty enough that the lower midrange doesn't sound strained (compared to 3" and 4" drivers).

Keep in mind Madisound designs based on computer software (LEAP if I recall). It'll get you in the ballpark, but it won't be as good as what you'd get from a design that has seen trial and error. Madisound obviously can't build your box and test and tune from that because it would be too time consuming and cost them far too much money.

I'd stick with DIY designs like those from Zaph

http://www.zaphaudio.com

Because he has put in the necessary time and effort into the specific designs he's offering you.

And I'm pretty sure if you're not comfortable putting the crossovers together yourself, madisound would probably assemble them for you if you sent the schematic. Their customer service is great.

As far as specifics, how much money will you be spending on this system?

A good example would be this kit:

Fostex offers a kit as well, but the one linked above brings out more of the driver's potential.
