Well, the Grand Am's transmission is shot and the engine mount is bad therefore my axle is rubbing up against the frame of the car. So tomorrow I go and pick up the car, get it back home, and begin the dismantling. Everything is coming out that is usable in the next car. What do yall think I can get out of my car from the junk yard. It has a recently installed magnaflow exhaust on it with a highflow cat. and a 250 Amp Excessive Amperage alternator. Yes, I know it seems stupid to have these things on there, but given at the time I didn't know this was gonna happen to me so I didn't plan for it.

I'd strip everything of value to you or someone else off of it.. THe junkyards around here pay $50-$150. they really dont care whats in it. Their going to make a fortune selling it part by part. SO youd make more selling you alt, and keeping whatever you or someone could use.. I had a great shape 1996 626, nice int, ext, seized bottom end.. $150. maybe where your at its different. BUt thats my experience
take the exhaust and the alt

Plus if you don't have a replacement vehicle yet, you may want to hang on to the alt, as it may fit the next car you get... alot of the GMs use the same parts for the motor accessories.

E-BAY IS YOUR FRIEND! lol. Most definately hang on to both the exhaust and the alternator. Hell I'd even pull out the seats if they're in good condition. Anything in the car that's in above average condition I'd pull out and throw on ebay and/or a Grand Am forum somewhere...you know they're out there!

Ya strip everything you can off the car, and sell the parts yourself. Then when you can't strip anymore off, then sell it to the junk yard.
Junk yards are going to offer maybe 100 for a car.

I think that exhaust and alt will fit an Alero.
If you got either or let me know and a price.
If you left that alt in the car... What yard? Go get it for me!
