I have a kenwood 1600w class D amp, it has two channels, its pushing 2 12 inch single coil eclipse subs, what is the most effective way to wire it up? should i just go, 2ohm and one sub to each channel, 2 ohm bridge, 4 ohm bridge, or what, ive tried a few things right now i have it at 2 ohm bridged.
Thanks

That amp is 2 ohm stable bridged? Thats kinda strange for a 2 channel amp. Well assuming it it stable at 2 ohms bridged, leave it that way because you are probably getting maximum output out of that amp. What are the rms figures so we can give u a better idea.

400 x 2 rms, yea i thought it was too cuz i realy havent seen too many amps capable of that

Is that 400x2 at 4 ohms? Bridged or non-bridged?

That's not bridged, that's just @<hidden> 2 ohms.
What ohms are the subs?

It sound from what you said that your subs are both single voice coil 4 ohm drivers , if this is the case then you should either run them in series 8 ohm bridged or 4 ohm stereo ( like a pair of full range speakers ) I don't think the kenwood amp is rated at 2 ohm bridged (that doesn't mean it won't work like that but your gonna shorten it's life span drasticly and void any warranty you may have with it . Your only gonna get around 100 rms each channel thoug hif it states 200w rms at 2 ohms so if your subs are bigger than that you really need 2 amps

This would work so much easier with the MODEL # and a cut~n~paste of the specs from their website :)
