No, these are not mine. They are slick94prix subs!

I got the pleasure of hooking him up with these and I built the box, of course.

These come from Car Godz also!

This is my first experience with Massive Audio. The subs come in a decent box, well packed. Covered in a bag to keep moisture out. The subs look pretty nice with attention to overall detail. The assembly looks to be good.

Im going to let the pictures speak now:

Allen bolt terminals. I swear they are setup for 10 Ga wire! Beware, you will need to fold 14 ga two times at minimum!

Sealed box, 1.1 cubes total. Built right to spec. Went with sealed as to port these the box would of approached 2.3 cubes...

Overall decent looking subs. Chris will have to chime in on performance later.

The biggest complaint I have is in there product manual. It calls out the outside diameter of the sub 10 1/2" and the cutout for the sub 9 1/2". This is NOT THE CASE. The sub measures 10 1/8" and the cut out should be no more than 9 3/32".

I should have some performance results here pretty soon.

Ryan, I have either 8 or 10 guage coming out of my amp as it is, two leads. Have these been wired in the box yet, or no? If so, lemme know how everything is setup. My amp is stable down to 1 ohm (but thats 1500 rms, a bit too much for these subs !! LOL).

On a Bang for the Buck standpoint, these are awesome lil subs feed each one 200-250wrms and I have no doubt that you'll be happy with the performance of them Chris... I have yet to see anything Massive Audio I haven't liked yet.

Alright, finally got around to installing them tonight.

First and foremost, Ryan wired each sub in the box in Series, so each speaker line was at 8. I then wired them in parallel down to 4 ohms.

The amplifier in question is a Directed 1500d. Subsonfic filter on, no phase shift, set right about 90-100 Hz cutoff. Hardly touched the gain today, but just enough to get a little power going to them for the initial break-in(will adjust in a few days of driving, Massive recommends a 2 hour break-in period, I usually do longer).

I have been running around sub-less for about 1 month now, so I could instantly tell the low-end difference. SQ sounds excellet, and reproduces the low nice suprisingly nicely!

Anywho, I will update in a few days with a DMM adjusted gain after the break-in period.

I will have to say though, I think these subs would do very very well in a ported box. As Ryan was telling me, they would require a pretty large box for the pair of them to be ported, so I may actually do a couple fiberglass corner boxes (Ryan seen my fiberglass 12" box I had for the JL that I did a while back). I finally found a technique to port fiberglass boxes VERY accurately, so with the extra time I have in my evenings, I may go ahead and give it a shot.
