Is this nessicary? The adire site says the Koda 6.1 Components handle 100W RMS. The 300/2 will deliver 150W to them. I've been told it will w ork real well but I've also been told speakers don't even need their RMS wattage to operate to their maximum potential. Thanks.

I say to much RMS power to them. Find something smaller or add more speakers!

Power rating is thermal anyways. Generally you can get a 100 watt speaker to perform at maximum output with less power. I wouldn't go less then 80, but 150 is overkill.

I agree. Do you think I should add a cheap pair of rear speakers and amp them?
The amplifier is a 300/2...will that power front and back speakers?
Also, the other speakers I was looking at, the DLS's, have a 150 W RMS rating. Does this higher rating mean they will deliver better sound quality? Or be louder? Or what?
Thanks guys.

Higher power rating does not mean they will be louder or sound better.

well that what the heck does a higher power rating mean? I thought the higher the wattage the louder they got without distorting. Please explain

kiki explained it best in another thread, not sure which one though.
