Interested... Would like some info and pricing though.
Obviously, they gotta beat the cost of the RF stuff I get, or else prove to be better :)

Well I got my RCA connectors.
Just need the wire.
As for pricing... I havent thought that far ahead yet, lol...
Probably be along the lines of $10 cost and $.50 per foot. So for a 20' cable it would be $20.
Once I get the cable I will probably just make a few sizes and keep them handy.
I was thinking of running them in the Alero, but Im not sure if its worth the work of tearing the interior all out to do...lol

Hmmm.... interesting. What kind of cable/connectors will be going into these? And is the cost ($10) per set or per order? Sorry if you mentioned that... sometimes I don't read so well.

well lets put it this way... Currently i get a buzzing noise coming from my signal cables going to and from my computer to my Receiver... i know if i had a better cable that would not be an issue... Plust i need to get a good video cable so i can send it from my Comp to the TV... but i think i have that covered.
I need somethign that isnt going to pick up interference if i run it near a power strip or my subwoofer thats all

Try running your signal wiring away from power wiring. It's not as big an issue in the car as it is in the house. It's a legitimate issue in the house. Shielding won't block all that.
Also, make sure you have the shield connected at the source side and not at the receiving end.

On second thought, balanced :)

I c, Well what i have to think of is just a good setup without any distortion from my lines... I love the way it sounds but i can absolutely hear some distortion.

Im not sure how well they would do in a HT environment. Theres more power issues there.
When I get going, I could send you one to test out. If you want it cool I can make others. If it doesnt work out, just send it back :)
There are a few different wires people use when making these RCAs. Some use MIC cable, some use more specific cable like used in other twisted RCAs. Some people use RG-59, like whats used in TV antennas...
Theres a few different wires.
Im going to use what I assume to be the best of them.
I think some RCAs are just way over done and over priced. Case in point the Stinger Experts I have for now in the Alero. I intend on directly replacing them with my RCAs ;)

Sure that would be great.
I'll PM the address to ya...
I would love to see how they perform. I'll bet that they work fine for my application so if you can send me just a 3 Ft cable that would be Perfect!

I never really got a straighforward answer before...is the ten dollar cost per set or per order? If I wanted several short cables, would each cost $10+length?

Ahh sorry I must of missed it or your intent.
The $10 covers the cost of the RCA Plugs and is per a cable figuring 2 channels, so 4 connectors in total.
Im sure if Im doing someone 3-4 sets that price can get down some.

Your wires are going to contribute very least amount of change in sound than any part of your system (assuming you've got good terminations, which isn't real hard to achieve).
If you are interested, I can send you a tutorial on the basic RLC properties (also covers some more advanced topics such as metallurgy, etc.) of wires written by a physics professor. Pretty interesting and revealing. Makes you wonder how or these nut jobs spend multiple thousand dollars (or even in the hundreds :unwell028 ) on cables.
