Okay i have a question about 2 amps. I want to have 2 of my amps in an amp rack both facing the same way, etc. I want the power wires/speaker wires/etc all to be in the middle of the amp rack. This works out for both my amps because the Rca inputs are on one side and all of the rest is on the other. So i figured if i took bothe my amps and faced the Rca's to the outside of the amp rack then all of the power wires/rca's,etc could be in the middle. Well that works out fine for my sub amp, but for the speaker amp in order for me to do that i'd have to completely flip the amp around, and the writting would be facing the opposite way. Is there anyway i can just flip the cover around or something to take care of that problem?

Thanks for the help....

Depends on the amp. what amp is it? Also, you don't want your power and speaker wires touching your RCA cables.

Yea i know not a great amp but for free what the hell.

Yes i know that Rca's and power will be away from each other, they are run on opp. sides of the car, and i want them on opp sides of the amp rack away from the power wire....

Well flip the amp over, unscrew it and open it up. Generally the internals are all connected to the top of the amplifier, not the bottom, making it impossible to flip anything around. So more then likely, no.

Damn that sux, thats gonna look kinda silly having the amps face two differnt ways.

But i'd rather have that then have my rcas right next to my power and speaker wires.

Any ideas?

Take all of the labeling off the amps.

That just stickers?

I don't want a blank amp either though, maybe i could just take em off and put em on the other side.

:confused

I doubt you can take them off anf reuse them lol. Sometimes i think blank amps look good.

What about placing the amps in a different configuration? Such as [] [] instead of - - and have the cables on the same sides.

Good idea, but the way the amp rack/box is setup that wouldn't work.

Thanks anyway.

Take all of the labeling off the amps.

How exactly do you do that without making the amp look like sh#t?

Any methods,etc?

Thanks

What about something to chemicaly remove the paint?

hmm but if the heat sink is painted which it is i'm sure that paint would come off also...

The heatsink doesn't look painted, I'd definately use some sort of chemical paint remover. I'd only use as much as you need, don't let any get anywhere else. You may need to scrub the stuff off, so be careful to to scrub too hard.

TSP?

(I am not responsible if it messes anythin up, but it will get rid of the labeling)

Email from the company.

Dear David,

We can turn the heatsink 180 degrees but it'll have to be done here.
The circuit board slides into the inner part of the heatsink.
Then all the FET's and Power transistors sit on the heatsink
platform on each side for heat dissipation.

If you can send us the amp here, we can do this for you.
There is a charge of $15 plus $10 UPS shipping back to you.

The model number and the log is silkscreened onto the heatsink.
It's not a sticker...

Ight, the rack is built, and now carpeted. All that's left is to mount it on the speaker box, drill the holes for the wires, and mount them amps...
Pics will be up once i'm all done.
