View Full Version : Amplifier for 3.5s

I was thinking about buying a cheap amp, like pyramid, pyle or somthin like that for 24 bucks, its like 35x2 rms. I was wondering the power is probably the same as my sony head unit or is it a lot worse? I was considering getting infinity kappa 3.5s but Didnt wanna blow em again, so I was gonna hook up the junky amp lol. Its only like 25 bucks, probably 35 cause im gonna have to get a distro block. Gimme opinions.

i dont think there will be much of a difference... them amps are overrated.. maybe a good clean 35x2 rms...

Are you just trying to save money so your going with the pyramid or Pyle amp, or just becuase you want really low watts? If i were you i would run maybe a higher end amp with low watts, that way you cant go wrong. Just an oppinion.

IF you decide to go with a low end amp..go for Profile or Lanzar. Both are cheap and to my knowledge have fairly decent build quality. Not top notch..but not horrible.

Im just trying to save money, big time hehehe. My sony 3.5s are blown to an extent, when it plays certain vocal notes. I wanna have ones that work for summer but I dont wanna spend a lot of money and I dont wanna blow the new pair if i get em

Im gonna say 100 bucks, id like to spend less cause im gonna be broke unless I can find a damn job in this town.

Look into a Lanzar "VIBE" amp.

Not VIBRANT or anything else, just VIBE. Its black!

3.5's blown? hehe such a small speaker...

Yep, decent amp. Profile's California series amps also seem to be a solid "cheap" build I suppose. I've never actually heard of many of those amps failing..which is why I would reccomend it under an extreme budget like yours. For Cheap decent speakers..Blaupunkt's arent too bad. I'm running a pair of Blau Coaxials for now. They do alright runnin off the head.

min price is like 60 bucks on ebay thats without shipping for any of those amps
