Its a nice amp, just out of your budget a lil :).(900.1D KAR - $585)

What quality of an amp are you looking for exactly? Are we talking Arc audio, zapco, etc. Or a lil lower quality and going kicker, mtx. OR the low quality amps such as profile, sony, etc.

I take it you want something relatively good, seeing as how you mentioned jbl which make good amps.

Questionable is a maybe... If you decide to got that route for price concerns,or whatever your reasoning, i'd suggest profile amps. I've heard alot of positve about them...

im just saying dont believe everything you see on paper, and i dont see how extensive it was, since most opinions are biased, and no one person could test all that equipment, not even 5 people could. my 2 cents dont take offense to it. :thumbsup

I wrote most of that list, and I have experience with 90% of what's on it. The product catagories are based mostly on build quality and reliability.

I wouldn't use a Brutus amp because I've seen a good number of problems with them, and people reporting sub-par performance from those amps after buying them to drive high power subs.

You probably won't find anything better though since you want 400+wRMS for under $250. Power costs money, and generally $1/watt is a good rule of thumb for buying a good, well made amplifier.

yeah i know Kiki, im having a pretty hard time finding a mono amp that puts out that much power for pretty cheap... only really things ive found are MA Audio and Power Acoustik... which may put out their RMS, but their build quality isnt too good.... i might just go with a 2 channel amp and bridge it.. we will see, any suggestions are welcome.
