well s10 forum isnt being very helpful.. so i thought id post on here.. does anyone know if a 1988 or 2000 s10 brake master cylinder will fit on my 96 s10, i got a couple buddies willing to sell me one for cheap off of either, but i told them i think only 95-97 will fit but im not sure? my brakes went out and my master is leaking all over...etc.. does anyone know what all needs to be done when replacing it?

To see if it will fit go to Autozones website and get a part number for your year/model. Then look up the other trucks in questions year/models. If its the same part, then it should work.
When you change these you will pretty much need to bleed each brake line at the cylinders at each wheel. It sucks.

Going through all that with my 89 RS Camaro now. I swapped out the rear axle for one with disc brakes and a slightly better posi gear (3.23 over 3.08), now I'm at the front end doing the new adjustable proportioning valve and a 4th gen master cylinder. Bleeding that system is going to be a PITA since it now has air throughout :argh
