k hooking up my jl 300/4 to my cdt 6.5" comps and infinity 6x9's...couple problems i've had:

1.)I cannot hear the singer or the voice in any song when i hook up a speaker...for instance on highway to hell by ac/dc i cant hear the verses but i can hear the chorus when they sing "highway to hell"....i dunno, any ideas?

2.)...and when i can hear the voice (like on devil went down to georgia :P) i can hear the singing but its got a reverb like effect, as if im listening to it live in a big cement room. Cool yes, but annoying. any ideas on what could cause this?

3.) the jl amp has a yellow light that either means one of these things:
-The amp is presented with a wrong ohm load
- The amp detects a short in the wire
- The battery is below the proper voltage rating or something

i think its the last one (i tried starting the car and it took a couple tries...never has before, its a pretty new car..99)

If my battery was dead, was starting it and letting it run for awhile and driving around good enough to charge it? or will that not charge it full...how can i charge it full?

thanks for any help.

Is that the only amplifier you have running?

Take it to Autozone or Advanced auto parts and get them to charge it for you.

I would check all your wiring, especially all the connections to your crossovers to make sure everything is hooked up right.

yeah that's it. and i just realized i had the polarity wrong on the tweeters. Well everything is playing now except for the front right set...dunno what's wrong with it...still though, the singing sounds very funny...and its not loud, everything else in the song is pretty loud and sounds decent when i mess with the equalizer, but the singing is just faint and muffled and reverby.

how much will that cost, roughly?

Nothing. They charge batteries for free.

wow thats surprising...thanks.

update on my problems :P:"

front 6.5" works (only have one working so far) but still the back 6x9's i cant hear the vocals, and they only play really crisp, almost harsh and distorted highs. Both crossovers on the amp are set at 95hz.

Do you have any crossover settings enabled on your head unit? You may want to check those and go over your connections again.

couple things I found out, my ground point was bad...i tried sanding down another point on the car and i tested it but it is bad too, any reccomendations on where to head? (99accord 4door)

I have a question, i can hear my engine..more specifically i can hear my rpms go up and down (i THINK through my tweeters, not sure where im hearing the whine from, hard to tell) when a.) my amp isnt hooked up... b.) my HU isnt on....what is causing this?
