Default Night mode Alpine ILX F309

Anybody knows how to automatically dim the background light at night? I am using android auto and it seems that it does not switch to night mode automatically. Anyone has the same problem?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forums,
I've been trying to find some info on this, but really haven't found much.

The only thing I did find, was on Best Buy in the ask a question section. Someone ask if it automatically goes to night/day. Someone replied yes, as long as your phone is connected.

So it seems like it should be working. I see there is a setting in Android Auto developer settings, to allow you to force it Day/Night. Have you tried going into that, and manually adjusting it, just to see if it works that way?

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try all of them but nothing happened.

In what vehicle? In my wife's 2019 Pacifica with the factory Alpine system, AA and CP will not go into night mode if the dash moght are at max brightness.
