it's for a cellular phone with hands free or mobile base mount. when the phone rings, it mutes the stereo system so you'll hear it and be able to talk without interruption from the stereo system.

RTFM = read the f$<*ing manual
it's explained in there.
audio interrupt just mutes the stereo when it gets a +12VDC trigger signal
