    Default Focal Utopia 8" Subs

    We guys, since we just sold our home...TODAY, my wife said I can get some 8s, so I plan on getting some Utopia 8" Subs for the rear quarterpanels where my midbass crossovers used to be located. I looked behind that panel and there is mucho room. Since my car is ONLY SQ, I plan on the two 8's to handle all sub-bass duties. I was just wondering more than anything, what you guys thought about this thing. Here is a picture about where I plan to put the subs.

    That thing is pretty. I love the unique red magnet stacks. That thing's on FIRE! Focal makes some good products, so I'm sure they'll do you just great.

    LOL...well yea, kinda, have to use the money for the newer home. Also to pay off the second mortgage. But I get to snag some 8's for competition this year...so this is my decision. I don't think that the 10's that Geolemon has would fit nearly as readily. So 8's it is.

    actually, after hearing the box size of Geolemon's subs, I might be able to go that route afterall. It will more than likely matter more about mounting depth.

    wow thats nuts... U know Joe as i was coming home from vacation on my 6hr drive from Ocean City, MD... I saw a Mak VIII white coming by us and i thoght of you... but only for a second... Btw yea those magnet stacks are interesting as all hell but very cool.

    oh, i believe it. theres a guy up here in flint at the local audio shop running 2 8w7's and absolutely loves it. im sure you can get great results with those lil guys.
