Well, I traded my KX300.2 for the IX406. It is absolutely beautiful, my new pride and joy might I add.
Beautiful isn't she. BTW, yeah, my carpet has stains, but it is allowed to, I have a 4 yr old, and a 3yr old.

Congrats man, sorry we couldn't hook up while you were here. Maybe I can get in touch with you when I get the Second Skin from Joey. Hooters might be a good dinner before I trek back.

Don't worry, she will be well taken care of. I hooked it up briefly today and was quite surprised to be honest with the output. Sub output pushed nicely, rear sounded beautiful on my minds, and the highs were absolutely screaming. Makes me think I may soon be in the market for new components, for sure better midbass.Originally Posted by dkguitarist

So how did you figure out it was underrated by listening to it?
The sub channels are rated 115x3. It sure as hell was not 115 watts I was hearing, but hey, thats why they make o-scopes and such. We are not to determine such things are we? Either way, I understand your sarcasm, because output differences are not generally audible unless we are doubling power, changing enclosure ect.
sure the gain was right and such?
Seriously.... I suppose you have to ask, and I suppose I am a little cranky tonight. Yes the gain was set correctly!Originally Posted by Darthness
He asked because it could seem louder if you had the gain set higher on this amp then the one it replaced. I know you said you can tell it is underrated, but really you cant, not by listening.Originally Posted by brent
