Question Looking For Help

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and right now I have a 1200W Sony explode amp and two 12" 1300w Sony explode subs. They sound really great but I am looking for something with more bass and more power. I have noticed that living here in Arizona and it is starting to get a little warm out here now that my amp is getting hot after about 20 minutes and shutting down for a couple of seconds here and there and I have to turn my system down for a bit till it cools down. Well I don't want to have this problem any more and am looking for a new system but not sure what to get yet. can anyone help me out here and tellme what your thoughts are and getting new subs and a new amp. Thank you

I had a similar problem with a sony amp. It died in 2 weeks.

Like ryan stated, what are you looking for in a system and how much do you have to spend?

I really don't care about money. Budget don't matter. I just want a good system that sounds great. After I get this part finished I am going to work on my door speakers and and everything else but want to get this started first.

Well, if money is no object then you have quite a bit you can choose from.

If you want it to sound good and get loud, then look into subs like the JL Audio W7, RE XXX, Adire Brahma. Just a few i can think of off the top of my head. One is probably all you would need.

As for amps, JL Audio, Zapco, Elevation to name a few.

For an extensive list of whats good, etc., Refer to:
