Default ??????? !!!!!!!!! ????????

Yeah thats about how I feel. I finally got some free time, and got everything back in the accord. The mids are imaging really well, and she sounds pretty good, BUT. The damn noise is still there.

Ok so here is were I am with my trouble shooting. Hopefully someone can come up with something to try.

I know its comming from my audio control DQS. As soon as I turn it off, or disconect the RCA wires that go to my amp it goes away.

The noise isn't alternator wine, and it does it with the car off.

It is DQS output and amp gain dependant.

It is not volume dependant.

It does it on all 6 channels, but is the most noticable on the tweets.

The DQS has been sent in and benched checked. It tested fine.

So here is were I am with the car.

Everything receives power and ground from the same spot. I even tried running the DQS power and ground to the battery, but nothing changed.

I tried every jumper combination possiable (inside the DQS) and nothing changed.

I tried gounding the QS chassi. still there.

Tried grounding the RCA sheilding. Still there.

Tried moving the DQS in the car. Still there.

Reran my RCA wires. Still there.

Tried resetting my gains, using 2 diffrent setting. One at 8 volts output from the DQS, and one at 2 volts output. Once the amps were set, the noise was just as loud at 2 volts as it was at 8.

"More info on how I set my gains."

I started at the headunit with a 0db 1000 herts track. I set all 6 RCAs to 8 volts with zero clipping.

Then I set the DQS input stage. Same way, 0db 1000 herts track, turned the input up till the output started to clip, and then turned it back down a little.

The output I picked a voltage, and set all 6 outputs to that point (making sure I had zero clipping)

Then I moved on to the amps. I set them the same way as everything else (turned the gain up till they clipped, and then turned it down a notch) The only diffrence was I used a 1000 herts -10db track.

Now I am at a loss. There has to be a way to get rid of this noise, I just can't find it.

I know its coming from my audio control DQS. As soon as I turn it off, or disconnect the RCA wires that go to my amp it goes away.

maybe the dqs is just failing i mean you narrowed it down to this so y not just get another?

Get rid of the DQS and buy something different?

Sounds like every installation issue has been addressed. Only one I can think of is power/ground crossing the RCAs path? Outside of that, sounds like its covered/correct.

Hopefully you have a dealer nearby?

They do in a couple places (after the DQS), but I can jumper the wires from RCA to RCA (removing the DQS) and the noise goes away.

Oh and I just switched the input / output for the mids and highs, and it got quieter. So the high input/output is the noisy one. The Mid input/output isn't as bad.

Definately a problem in the DQS then... as Ryan stated, get rid of it and get something different (I've never been much of a fan of Audio Control... too iffy as you're finding out).
