Pull the plug(s) and look for shavings and damage. This is where you need one of those scopes that cool mr grinch is selling. But if you can see, look at the top of the piston(s) for dents.

that scope would be awesome to have, i checked the plugs, but they all showed no obvious signs of damage, i think my next step is to go to get my hands on a compression tester to see whats what before i take apart the head again. Does anyone know if autozone (or anything similar) rents out tools?

They rent tools Im not sure about a pressure tester though.

Could be a cracked spring also... But it sounds pretty loud...

well, the car is f'd. I got a compression tester, and had no compression in the cylinder where the valve seat failed and was replaced. I'm guessing the valve seat fell out again while it was running and shot the whole thing to hell, i've got coolent in the oil, and it knocks 10x worse than in the vid that i made.....time for a new car, one that isnt a ford and has a tiny I-4 in it, i should have bought that jeep that was up for 1k while i had the chance....damnit

A bad valve won't let coolant in the oil, sounds like a cracked/wrapped head or blown head gasket, which is probably the same reason you don't have compression on that cyl.

oh, well the knocking from the same cylinder sounds exactly similar to an escort i heard on youtube that had that problem. the remnants of that valve seat did something to the engine, and it wasnt good. I found out escorts are famous for dropping valve seats, of the 25 threads on the 1st page of an escort forum for that specific engine, 5 of them had that problem. Either way the engine is trashed, its ashame that i didnt pick up that 95 cherokee for 1g when i could have

Thats really shitty. Considering you JUST put money into it and time to find out its still poopty.

Buy a GM. You can usually find Grand Ams for cheap. Same with Alero's. Any GM with a 60 degree V6 is good.
