Wiring help

Post by Briankanexyz »

Hello, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the wires. I have no issue connecting them and installing the unit in my car, but getting the correct wires paired is a bit daunting. Was hoping someone could take a look at the attached and match there wires for me. 2018 Kia Rio5 4 speaker setup and Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX.

Thanks for the help.
Brian

Kia ________________________________Head Unit

Red - 6 volts camera power ____________ Red I'm not sure about this one. Does your camera require 6 volts or 12?
Blue - power antenna__________________Blue/White??
Yellow (x2) - 12 volts constant power ____Yellow
Black - camera ground ________________Black
Blue/Pink - vehicle speed sensor ________ Does your deck have this option? I'm not seeing anything about speed sensors. This may not be used in your installation.
Black - connect to ground of receiver ____Black
Red - 12 volts accessory ______________Red
Orange - illumination ________________Orange/White
Parking Brake ______________________ It appears that your deck comes with a physical switch that you somehow need to mount under the parking brake, so when you push/pull the handle. This switch is turned on.

Hi,
welcome to the forum, your deck is a little confusing, but I think I have it mostly figured out.
See above.

Thanks for the reply. The Kia hardness i have says 6 volts for the camera so I'd go with that, don't really know the difference. Ill have to check if my deck has the vehicle speed sensor. For the parking break it looks as if i need to hardwire into the existing wiring, but honestly dont know what this is for. Your thoughts on the power antenna blue Kia wire?

Thanks

Does your KIA have a power Antenna? The images I'm looking at of the car, it looks like it has a shark fin antenna on the back.
So unless you have a antenna that goes up/down (most cars don't have these anymore). I think that is unused in your application.

No power antenna. may be a standard harness across the Kia line. Power antenna may refer to power for the fin.
