Retro radio installation

Big Red - Chevrolet Chevy pickup (1949)

I installed a Retro Radio with my son, thinking it was specifically made for this truck. However, it turned out to be a universal radio with a kit that didn’t work straight out of the box.

The kit came with poor instructions, and there was minimal support from the manufacturer. The brackets were challenging to fit correctly, requiring extensive modifications and improvisation to make it work. We eventually got it installed, but the process was far more difficult than it should have been.

Pros:

  • Provides a modern radio with a classic look for the truck.
  • Bluetooth connectivity.

Cons:

  • Very challenging to install.
  • Lacks detailed instructions on the installation process.
