First cruise with the new engine

With the engine finally in and running, it was time for the first real test.
I took her out to the May 10th Cruise Puyallup—and she did great. There were tons of cars out that day, but the ol’ girl held her own and even pulled in quite a few compliments.

Looks like she caught some attention, too—plenty of photos showed up on the Cruise Puyallup Facebook page. Here are some of the ones I spotted. Big thanks to everyone who snapped a pic!

The only hiccup was during the slow crawl through the loop. It gets pretty congested, and with all that stop-and-go, the engine started heating up a bit. So I went ahead and upgraded the fan and added a shroud. Hoping that helps—we’ll find out at the next one.
