    Welcome to the forum.

    So looking at that amp, it looks like it puts out the same power at either 2 or 4 ohms. So doesn't appear to matter which one you go with.

    For the subs, since you do have a top that comes off. I would if possible go with a larger sub. When the shop says they can modify the box to fix the 10. Will the sub have the proper air space in the stock box? I would ask them that. They may be able to cut the hole bigger to get the sub to physically fit, but if the sub needs a larger enclosure to really sound good, it might be better to just stick with an 8.

    If it turns out the 10 would be in too small an enclosure, is there a possibility of them fiberglass a new box, in the stock location? But build it in a way that has the correct internal volume for the sub in question?

    I personally would want a 10 over an 8, but only if it's in the proper sized enclosure.
