to eliminate distortion at high volumes, add a 2 channel amplifier.

strongly consider the elevation coax speakers...they really like to be cranked and sound better the louder they get.....

Just dont let your boss see this post

If you are doing a marine headunit you should do marine speakers also...

Because if they get wet, well then your in trouble...

How was the lake joe? Anyway, you should look into a headunit that has a no skip feature like those portable cd players have, I think they make 'em like that. As far as the speakers, bravox has marine speakers.

EDIT: hehe, bravox has a marine coax that will handle 100 watts rms, might get loud

they dont want to use white speakers so most marines are out. no room for a 2 channel amplifier unfortunatly so im screwed this is a tough ass assingment. terry i tried the elevation coax's and have never had good luck with them. ever pair i had distored even on just head unit power. im only doing a marine head unit because it has a flip over case. normal speakers should be ok because there are drain holes in the mounting piece.

by the way this is going in an overhead console
