don't think I'd want the sub in the ceiling thanks.
my setup is in my bedroom. didn't want to tear the room part for in-wall surround etc and sound damping when I'm moving this Spring anyway.

May be a different story when I move.

wasnt a suggestion just telling you what i was doing for a customer. id rather not install it in the ceiling but he doesn't want a box sitting in the room he wants everything hidden, and unfortunatly he has a slab concrete floor so no in floor woofer

I just bought that same Plasma not too long ago. I got it in the 42". Any larger was too much for the room size.

Here's a pic. I had it stuffed in the corner like that because I was waiting for the HD satelite to be installed.

    built a new home theater.

I also have a brand new Samsung 550 LCD in my bedroom. I'm telling you, there is no comparison between the midrange LCD and the midrange Plasma. The Plasma is amazing. It may be a little higher then midrange though.

    That's the new receiver.

Bill, I wasn't taking it as a suggestion, I was merely pointing out that I wasn't sure it's a very good idea with resonance.. Not unless he has a heavily reinforced ceiling anyway. I am considering doing an in-wall setup when I move though, for the center, surrounds and rears and possibly the sub(s). The mains will still be floor standing of course. I may wall mount the plasma then, too instead of using the Bell'O stand for it in my room as the stand gives me a place for the center channel for the time being. (my center channel is about 44" long, and 6" or so deep.)
Anyway, scrapped the Sony and canceled the order for that BluRay player, as I found the Panasonic 55 was a much better player for similar money, so I changed for the Panasonic. Also now the DVD and TV will function together being from the same company with their VIERA connectivity. Not that it will probably matter much really, with the Harmony 1000 running everything. That's one cool remote. It even had codes for my old Denon tape deck and Panasonic Laserdisc player! (One reason I picked it, having lost the LDP and Tape deck remotes.)

    ONKYO is good, yes?

I need sound real bad. Nothing too big. But crisp and clear would be nice.
