how old is your plasma? I know the old ones had burn but the new ones are suppose to be really good at not doing it. I play 360 a lot on mine and have left it on for hrs with out anything moving and no burn what so ever

I bought it near the end of 2008. I never game or leave it paused. The areas that have burn are the areas around the edge of the screen that aren't filled if a show or movie doesn't take up the entire screen.

Would something like this be covered by warranty ya think?

So, I read that "burn" isn't are very good term for what's going on with my tv. As the screen isn't really burnt. The ghosting around the perimeter of the screen isn't actually burned in and can be fixed by leaving the screen on for a few hours with a static "fuzzy snow screen" signal.

I went with 42" thinking it would be big enough. Of course now I want bigger. I'd love a 50 incher!
