I loooove the cone. But that's just me. I think I'm just a little tired of seeing pulp.

Ok, so this thing is going to look like a wiener. Oh well. Onto pichers.

    and back done:

Put in the threaded insert for the amp panel:

    Bolts up nice and straight!

Tomorrow I'll glue the double baffle together then drill the pilots for the speaker and the trim panel.
I'm starting to reconsider t-nuts for this build... this thing is friggin heavy..... I may just go with a plywood ring under the baffle... but the sub needs to be taken out to get to the amps... Hmmm...

I still can't believe you made the top of the box out to be a giant weiner

    Meh... dick happens.

More work today. I love the break. I hope to actually be done before classes begin on the 14th.

Everything mocked up to round the corners on the baffle and back panel:

Siliconed everything up (just to be sure):

I've been searching for a while for stuff to line the walls of enclosures. Batting is always too thin and expensive, foam sheets are expensive and small, but I found this stuff today at Wally World for 9 bucks. I also think I'll have enough extra to do my ht enclosure.

I picked up this to run the power wires through. I can't seem to find any smaller ones for the speaker/rca wires though.

I finally found a way to connect the aero port tubes to the 90* elbows that I got at Lowe's. I used some foam pipe insulation and hot glued it around the tube. It sits tight and won't move or shift.

That foam you found at W-mart looks like it may do even better than the eggcrate foam (although basically same purpose)... Everything looks like it's coming together great... can't wait to see it done
