space requirements also play a part, a ported box tends to be larger than a sealed box. Not always but as a general rule. What music do you listen to the most?? Your smaller sealed boxes are better suited for a tight defined bass, such as classical and jazz, but if you listen to rock, and rap, then a ported enclosure may work better. I also think amp power has something to do with it, sealed boxes sometimes require more power to get a certain level of bass than a ported would.
But most definetly spend the extra money on Aeroports, if you go that way,
they won't be that much more expensive.
