No it was not do to your post or implying that you don't (or anyone) doesn't know what they're doing (it's just that many don't).
And Bill, when I was referring to "directions", I was talking about the fact that "Good" amps give you instructions as to proper install and a "Good" authorized dealer will give you proper direction on installing your own set up to run optimum performance without risk. Nearly all equipment is Not warrantied if improperly installed even if you are running only half the recommended rms... Basically I'm not saying that it is safe to run sub(s) or amps at any numbers that have not been properly installed.
