Volume level means absolutely nothing.

too many variables can make up what is wrong without putting a value on a non-measurable attribute.

Call them up and tell them you have a ripped spider, ask if they'll fix it and how much.

Otherwise someone else should be able to fix it for you at a reasonable cost.


Sounds like you might have unloaded the sub by playing it too low for the box.

i have everything but according to Fi's warranty page it doesn't cover a rip in the spider. ive never ever tried to overpower this sub. if i heard a song that seemed like "hmm this doesn't sound perfect/like it should, i didn't get airtime over 2 seconds at half volume. i never ever blast songs that haven't been listened to first just because this sub was pricey as hell and if i broke it id be furious.... not to mention, the cd i have is an mp3 cd compiled of all the songs that sound amazing and clear with bass. if a song doesn't sound great/seems too harsh/low quality i don't even both listening to it- no matter how much i like it

ditto! That's never happened to me. I'm sure it is still under warranty but just make sure you have all your appropriate purchasing documents and you should be all set.
